Prayer Conferences in Mississippi this Year

In-Prison Prayer Conferences are back on the road in 2023 and venturing beyond Illinois!  In April, a KHM ministry team traveled to prisons in both Parchman and Pearl, Mississippi to conduct two-day prayer conferences at each facility.  These invitations were extended by Chaplain Reginald Watts and Mississippi State Penitentiary Superintendent Marc McClure.

The Mills met Chaplain Watts over 20 years ago at the Louisiana State Penitentiary at Angola, where he was serving a life sentence with no parole.  But God!  After serving 25 years, during which he graduated from Bible college and worked as an inmate minister, Watts (as he likes to be called) was miraculously granted release.  He is now the lead chaplain for the state and training other former Angola inmate ministers to serve in facilities within the Mississippi Department of Corrections.

Three additional prayer conferences have been held in Illinois this year at East Moline and Hill Correctional Centers and the Kewanee Life Skills Re-Entry Center, and three are already scheduled for 2024.

Regular visits and ministries continue — with an expanded team of volunteers — at both the DuPage County and Cook County Jails.
