Message to Radical Time Out Lovers- Introduction
Radical Time Out is a mission of Joy that flows out of God’s Word for each of us to experience. How many of you need to experience God’s permanent, sustaining, refreshing, and unspeakable joy that can only be explained in Christ Jesus?
Radical Time Out exists for you and I, who God our Father has made us as part of the Body of Christ, through the Power of the Holy Spirit, to experience unspeakable and fresh joy that flows out of personally experiencing the genuine and sincere desire of our new hearts; to Obey the Word of God without delay. The way to know if we are obeying God is by loving any neighbors God sends our way, lavishly and radically (without holding back), because when we do, then we are making sure of God’s calling and election in each of us. (2 Peter 1:10-15).
God the Father will only activate the joy we need as we obey his first and second greatest commandment as we love our neighbors his way - through the cross and Christ. (Matthew 22:37-40) When we become radically in love with the word of God and obey it for our joy and his glory, the Word of God will save us time and problems. Our obedience to God's Word and His joy will make us impeccable witnesses of God’s glory!
Ravi Zachariah said—“The Cross is God’s love crucified by our sin”
Radical belief, that leads to radical obedience, that produces radical and fresh sustaining joy in us, regardless of what may be happening! In 1st Peter, we see a Peter that has been totally transformed and radically addicted to Christ and Him alone! Our Joy flows fresh and sweet out of what happened at the Cross and in Christ! Our Joy is not our Choice, It is God’s Commandment as we obey His Word and love our Neighbor---John 15:10-12
Our Joy and God’s glory are not in Competition---Dr. John Piper says our joy must then reflect God’s glory as radically loving any neighbor God chooses to send our way—including those coming out of prison or jail.
Our sin---missing the mark of God’s glory-- interferes with our joy and hence steals our joy from us which we must reflect with clarity not for us, but for God’s glory and our total dependence on Him and on Him alone as we delight in our Great God our Father---Dr. John Piper goes on to say that “Sin is the suicidal abandonment of Joy.” Furthermore, Dr. Piper says that Sin is coming to God and saying- “No thanks”
That was exactly the attitude Peter demonstrated before He radically surrendered to becoming a permanent disciple of Christ by embracing and cherishing the Cross—which became his identity and his final destination, which made Peter radically obedient with fresh joy, alleluia!
This is our Objective for Radical Time Out. As we pursue this radical joy together by becoming radically obediant to God’s clear Word. As God’s Word becomes your very life as it did to Moses! However, it is also our objective that each of us will see how radically vital and essential it is to take a few Radical Time Outs--- Daily--- to feed and feast in God’s Holy, all satisfying and loving Word so this unspeakable joy will become for you, fresh daily! Alleluia!
